Caught David stealing food. He knows that all he has to do is tell us he is hungry. We just don’t want him hoarding food in his bedroom. Then he lies and blames it on others, including the cats. We know that with his metabolism, he burns enough food for two or three other people. We are not withholding food. Makes me sad. Is this the start of the end of the honeymood? On a side note, his former psychiatrist agreed to accept him into her case load and not make us wait until the end of April. Time to return to the book “Get Your Joy Back”. Tweet #fighting4answrs
I sleep during the day, because I stay up all night long with my son. This morning, just as I was getting into a good sleep, I received a call from the facility where David will eventually be a resident. They need a list of hospital stays for him going back two years. Evidently it is too much work for them to go through his medical records and dig up the information for themselves. So I told them… “David doesn’t sleep at night.” “As a result, I stay up all night with him.” “You are cutting into my night time right now.” “If you had told me yesterday or even last week that you needed this information, I wouldn’t be upset.” So I sent them an email with the information that they need. Later in the afternoon I called and asked if the bed was indeed going to be available.
This constant state of awareness is starting to wear me down. Having to always be on, and aware of David’s position/location in the house is wearing on everyone. tonight I caught him hiding a couple of combination padlocks in the couch. He claimed to have found them on the floor. He said that Cinnamon must have put them there. Cinnamon is our 18 month old cat. She doesn’t have opposable thumbs… moving forward, it is time for the night watch. I think that I will try to do some web development stuff tonight. The hard part is keeping quiet and still being able to both stay awake, and keep an ear/eye out for David. Related articles What do you mean?
