96 hours is enough

So in their infinite wisdom, insurance has decided that 96 hours is enough time in the mental health unit. So I am going to bring David home today. They said “if you feel he is a danger to himself or others, you can bring him back.” Heck, that is why he is there now, plus his complete disregard for any rules. Just trying to keep him and the rest of the family safe. The “team” at the unit didn’t even bother asking Medicaid for a couple of days because they “didn’t think that would help.” So, with a prayer, we will see how things progress from here.   Tweet #fighting4answrs

the goodness

There is so much bad news in the world.  I have said this before. So let’s celebrate something good. Laughter. Smiles. Tears of joy Life. I live each day with a chronic illness.  Even the bad days are pretty darn good. Embrace the life you have.  It is the only one that you will get. David has exceeded my expectations.  I don’t expect perfection, in reality none of us is perfect. I look to the Bible for what it says about perfection. Ecclesiastes 7:20. For there is not a iust man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. I am not a biblical scholar.  Can’t claim to be.  In fact, I rarely attend an organized church, largely because I believe that we find God in the world around us, in the loved ones we have in our lives, and in each other.
