Collin Haluska’s Burn Recovery

My friends, Last month, the son of a dear friend of ours was burned in a tragic accident.  He will be a long time in recovering.  Tragically during this time, the home that the family was renting has been sold and now they have to move.  Collin goes to wound care 2 times a week at 100 miles round trip each visit.  In addition, mom, who is a stay at home mom, has taken on the role of caregiver and nurse, in addition to being mom and driver. The cost of care associated with a burn of this magnitude is extraordinary and has rapidly depleted the families savings. Now, because Collin has missed so much school, and will miss many more, the family is faced with hiring a tutor for him until the school district kicks in and picks up the costs.  If you can help please follow this link.

Giving Hearts Day – Happy Valentines Day

As we celebrate this heart day with our loved ones, we need to remember that there are others who are less fortunate than ourselves. I am on the board of directors for an organization that assists families who need hope.  The organization is called Family Voices of North Dakota.  Would you consider giving 5, 10, 20 dollars or more to this wonderful organization?  Donations will be matched up to $4,000. Click on the link below for more info.  Remember “Family Voices of North Dakota”. Tweet #fighting4answrs

>For each that reads this, our wish is that you have a Merry Christmas. Remember those who have less good fortune than you. Remember our veterans in this time of war, and pray that they make it through the next 24 hours without death. For those families who have a loved one on deployment, please grant them peace of mind this day.Remember the homeless, that they may know warmth and not hunger. Welcome hope, and not despair. For those who are ill, a day of relief, an hour of calm, whatever they need. For the loved ones of the ill, may you find peace knowing that your loved one is cared for this day.In life, we choose how to live. May each of us live to our potential, embrace the challenge, and enjoy each breath. Hug your loved ones everyday, like it is the last time you will see them. Speak
