Our school made the news – an Update

Last week you may remember that I wrote about our school district being on the news.  Here is the original post Today I received a response from the reporter. The story was not meant to be offensive to you or your family in anyway. The incident was only mentioned to let viewers know that bullying is a problem in the smaller schools of North Dakota. NAME REDACTED explained and the sheriff did as well that it was just boys rough housing. Therefore, that is why the story was written the way it was. I am very sorry to hear what your daughter has undergone.   I am impressed to receive a response to my email.  I should

Today has been fabulous for our youngest. No behaviors this morning and now we are waiting at the doctor’s office and he is calmly sitting here waiting his turn. No fidget’s no running around, just watching other people interact with each other (which as I explain later can be kind of creepy). This rocks. Even if this is the only time this year that it happens. Celebrate the good ones. ;). Cherish all of them good or bad. Tweet #fighting4answrs

Assault at the high school update

the deputy sheriff stopped by yesterday and told us he had completed his investigation. Seems a couple of boys were roughhousing in the hall way, and one pushed his buddy, his buddy hit our daughter and then she hit the locker. The deputy says he believes that the boys are sincere in their admission that it was an accident. So as long as they apologise, we will let the matter go. We are asking the school to cover all of her medical expenses. Today, I am taking her in to get a shot for the pain.  Taradol, which is an intra-muscular injection in the gluteus maximus.  Wish her luck! Tweet #fighting4answrs
