and now a call from the prize patrol

We have been in the city since early this morning for my doctor appointment. David spent some time with his grandfather. He has been incredibly patient this morning. While I was at grandpa’s house grandpa got a phone call from someone who wanted to know if they could deliver his prize today. The prize? 4.5 million dollars, dad just had to pay 1% of the prize and give his checking account number. Dad handled it very well. Told him to take the fee out of the check and then mail him the check. The guy called twice, and each time Dad did the same thing. Pretend to be hard of hearing, not speak very good english, and then say goodbye. We had a good laugh about it. Tweet #fighting4answrs

quiet riot and mr cavelier

Seems odd to be in the city with my bride and not having any children with. I miss them but am also enjoying the time away. Visiting second hand stores, I am amazed at how the prices are on used stuff! One would think that they would generate just as much income of the moved the stuff cheaper and turned their merchandise over faster. Oh well, not my business model. Mom and I are talking about the tough love approach to getting chores done at home. Seems that the kids are having a hard time with emptying and fully loading the dishwasher. Shoot, I remember washing dishes by hand. More later. 😉 Tweet #fighting4answrs

a lunch date with my wife on the morrow

Sweet, my bride and I get to have a couple of hours to ourselves tomorrow.  🙂  Thanks so much Auntie! We are going into the city, doing a little shopping, lunch buy some car parts for my truck, and then come home.  Kind of a late valentines treeat for ourselves. Having three boys on the spectrum with the youngest being the way he is, it is difficult to find a sitter who can keep up with them. We don’t like to leave David home with the girls, as they don’t deserve that.  So since Auntie came to visit for the weekend, we have a perfectly capable sitter.  She doesn’t brook any trouble from any of the boys, and knows how to deal with their quirks and many blessings. So tomorrow, I will get to tell everyone how my date went with my bride. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
