and now a call from the prize patrol

Posted on February 28, 2012February 28, 2012 by carl

We have been in the city since early this morning for my doctor appointment. David spent some time with his grandfather. He has been incredibly patient this morning.

While I was at grandpa’s house grandpa got a phone call from someone who wanted to know if they could deliver his prize today. The prize? 4.5 million dollars, dad just had to pay 1% of the prize and give his checking account number.

Dad handled it very well. Told him to take the fee out of the check and then mail him the check. The guy called twice, and each time Dad did the same thing. Pretend to be hard of hearing, not speak very good english, and then say goodbye.

We had a good laugh about it.
