The Fundraiser
They are undertaking a fund drive right now to ramp up for next years camp and beyond. In talking with the Camp founder, it costs roughly 2,000 dollars per camper for the week. Camp fees are 895 dollars. So the difference has to be made up somewhere. Previously, the difference was made up by a private donor. They are unable to do so, after three years of funding campers. Please give generously if you can. The fundraiser can be found on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/donate/2130724537210302/
If you are not on facebook, you can reach out to the camp via email at: admin@fasdcamp.org
About the Camp
A bit about the camp, currently campers are age 10 to 18. The directors of the camp are reviewing the possibility of hosting a camp for young adults age 19 to 22. They can’t do it without your help. How can you help? give 5 dollars. 10 dollars, 50, 100, 1000 or more. Every dollar helps. In order to reserve the camp for next year they need to raise a minimum of 20,000 dollars. Share this page with your friends and family. Ask them to share it with their friends.
What is FASD?
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder – an alcohol related neurodevelopment disorder affects as many as 1 in 20 children. This statistic is according to the Centers for Disease Control.
The staff to camper ratio is usually 2 to 1, and in some cases 1 to 1. It is a true summer camp where our children with FASD can experience all of those activities that any child attending any summer camp get to experience.
