A time to seek forgiveness?

I have been really struggling this week. Struggling with my hatred for an individual I have never met. Since I have left this hatred in my heart, I believe that it is affecting my health. I need to let it go. No amount of hatred can undo the damage that was done to David in the 9 month period that she had custody of his body before he was born.  No amount of hatred will make him whole.  So why be hateful? Ghandi said it best. “The weak can never forgive.  Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” Forgiving isn’t the same as forgetting.  All we have to do is look into David’s eyes to remember.  All we have to do is to remember that without her, we wouldn’t have this child to call our son, our brother, our family. assault reported by David

I received a call from David’s teacher.  evidently he was being offensive and sent to time out.  When he didn’t stay, they took him back. He threw a chair at his teacher or one of the staff, and then headbutted someone.  In addition to his threatening to kill them, he also was kicking and hitting. For those of you who are new to my blog, David is in a residential facility for behaviors like this, as well as stealing. So because this is the second time this has happened in as many weeks, he has out of school suspension tomorrow, which is what David wants. A bit later at the end of the day, I received a report from the social worker who staffs David’s cottage. David had a scratch by his ear and a mark on his ribs.  David was asked if what happened and he indicated that the

Upcoming feature – Newsletter

Starting January 1, 2013, (yes we know, it is hard to imagine) we will be adding a newsletter to our blog.  If you would like to sign up for it, you can sign up when you leave a comment on any page.
