David is getting verbally aggressive

received a report today about David.  He is becoming more aggressive with staff both in the residence and at school. He has in-school suspension on Monday.  There will be a staffing for the cottage on Monday as well, and they will plan what the next course is. I told them that I would be happy to come up for the meeting. I also told them that David doesn’t like school, so if he sees this as a way to get out of going to school, he will use it. so if he becomes verbally or physically aggressive toward staff, he will be in a half hour time out in his room in the residence hall. David has been in placement for a month now. Not a day goes by without our thinking about him.  Most days he calls us. ======================= Our thoughts and prayers are with those on the coast

Boycott Ann Coulter – Hold her to the same standard as Michael Richards

Dear Miss Coulter, Even the least educated among our population know that there exists in the language, a number of words that aren’t used in conversation.  Typically this is because, over time, they have become derogatory in nature. 2 weeks and counting

It has been two weeks since David entered placement. In  the intervening time period, we have had an IEP, we have received his first treatment plan.  We have learned that David is pushing limits already. He has stolen something every single day that he has been a resident.  Either from the school that is on-site, or from the residence hall. He has stolen everything from a Franklin Electronic Dictionary to a cell phone, followed by an mp3 player. In other news, he has also served in school suspension because of his overzealous use of the F-word. I struggle everyday.  I struggle with him not being at home.  I am still mostly on a night time schedule, and when I find myself dozing off, I wake with a start and then search the house looking for David. I wonder how long it will take me to get out the habit. I
