It’s your fault Dad for not helping me be honest

David said “It’s your fault dad, for not helping me be honest.” And he still claims he is innocent, and the mentor is lying. About what?  Yeah, I guess that would be helpful to know. When David got home last night from his mentor time, he had a basketball.  Said that the mentor let him buy it with his flex funds.  (Typically, by the end of the month the flex funds are gone.)  At any rate, David said that the ball cost 70 dollars. So I confirmed all of this with the Mentor Coordinator who followed up with the mentor. David has mentors two times a week.  Yesterday he was with his mentor at the YMCA.  Toward the end of their time together, David said he was hungry and demanded to go to McDonalds.  The mentor refused.  They had already spent the day’s allotted funds on food.  So David took

oops I fell asleep around 530am

shortly after my last post, I fell asleep. at around 5:30am, I just couldn’t keep my eyes open.  at 6:24am, I hear David running across the kitchen.  he managed to steal one of the keys from my key ring, and then break into his brother’s bedroom and steal his brother’s cell phone.  tell me that is compulsive behavior… I don’t believe compulsion is planned out like that is it? ooooh shiny toy – mine

the dreaded call.  David was with his mentor today.  stole a toy.  lied about it.  neither of which is anything new. He evidently doesn’t understand that we will check and confirm everything that he says.  And that if he comes home with a new toy, we will confirm that someone paid for it. No free rides. Grrr.. I am just so frustrated with the situation. If he has a mentor for social outings, and to give us a break, and consistently steals while with the mentor, how long before they stopped taking him?  On the other hand, they know that he takes things that aren’t his.  Why don’t they keep a better eye on what he is doing?  I even discussed them searching him if they were concerned about him taking something. When we were at wal-mart last week, he said he had to go to the bathroom.  Said he
