buttons, buttons, let’s push some buttons.

David seems intent to push all of the buttons that he can tonight. Every time he thought I was looking at him, he would ask “what?” Then he would turn the laptop he was playing a game on away. The third time he was asked, “What are you doing?” “Checking my yahoo account” was his response. So then we had a rapid discussion regarding why he couldn’t be on the Internet. And then let’s push buttons.  Buttons, Buttons, who has got the buttons.. So now, he can’t even play video games on the laptop. Just when we think we can give him a little trust, he takes it and rends it into millions of pieces.   Tweet #fighting4answrs

When is it considered Grand Theft Auto?

What constitutes a vehicle? Does it have to have 4 wheels? Does it need to be highway speed capable? How about a Dixon Zero Turn Riding Mower?  Does that count as a vehicle? My son, “borrowed” the neighbor’s zero turn Dixon mower today.  Claims that someone in that house gave him permission to drive it, complete with attached trailer. Every time we ask him about it, he claims that he was given permission to use it. And then he told another neighbor that we got a new riding mower, that he and I had the only keys, and we were going to share the mower.  Yep.  So now, in addition to the neighbor who had his lawn mower taken, another neighbor is concerned that they could be implicated in the theft of said mower. And he wonders why we don’t trust him. Tweet #fighting4answrs

I am bored and this is fun.

Today, I had the rare opportunity to have a frank talk with David.  We talked about everything from sunshine to cats.  We talked about his favorite movie, Heaven is for Real. We talked about dogs, rain, basketball (though I am by no means knowledgeable) and we talked behaviors. We talked about how he likes being at home. When asked about being home, David candidly stated “I don’t think I am a home person, I don’t do very well here.” I asked him if he thought a facility would be better, and he stated “I don’t like facilities because I can’t get my permit at 14.” So we talked about behaviors and driving permits. I explained that sometimes, behaviors limit the extracurricular activities that we enjoy. He understands that. I gradually turned the conversation back to behaviors. I asked one very telling question, not expecting a response.  “Why do you do
