Denial, Denial, Denial – Placement just fell through

Well. We were all set to take David to a new facility on Monday. Today, that fell through. Evidently, we haven’t tried hard enough.  We haven’t driven enough miles.  We haven’t tried this program or that. The psychiatrist’s recommendation isn’t enough.  We didn’t try to give up custody to the state. The language that the psychiatrist used in her last notes about our visit was that I was trying to provoke a response in my son. No prior outpatient treatment has been tried and/org symptoms do not support the need for the intensity of services. Inpatient treatment under the direction of a physician is not required. Documentation does not demonstrate that services can improve the recipients condition or prevent further regression. I didn’t comment and try to provoke a response.  The psychiatrist told me in front of David that we would need to give up custody to the state to

denial, denial, denial. who tried to start a fire

David got caught playing with matches in the bathroom. When I asked him about why he was trying to burn down the house, he said “it would have taken more matches than I had, so I couldn’t do that.” Now he denies trying to do anything of the sort.  He got caught digging in our bedroom.  Keys missing, a bottle of Febreeze laying on the bed and no explanation of what it is doing there. So now when ever he is in the bathroom, he has to leave the door open a little ways so we can monitor his activity.  I don’t know what else to do. I tell him he needs to pull his head out of his hind parts.  He claims no knowledge of any of it.  Said he lit one match.  Then he went into a dissertation about how the house could burn down if wires were

Stormy Lake Weather

We had a storm on the lake this week.  Tornado warnings, severe thunderstorm watch, that kind of thing. I don’t know if it is the weather, the fact that I am at a conference, or what, but David has been in full form. A storm of a different kind. Facebook.  If you are on the friends’ list of anyone in the family, he likely sent you a facebook request.  David is not allowed technology/Internet access.  David has a history of threatening to kill people via facebook.  Typically he does this via hacking into accounts of his siblings.  Please let us know if he says anything to you. Wednesday. David left his established area.  He went outside of the boundaries established for him.  When mom got home from looking for him with the intention of calling the police and reporting him as a run away he was home.  Later, a local
