Thoughts of a reformed thief

In another life I was a thief.  Yes, I admit it.  I was a thief. Why talk about it?  With all of the stealing that our son David does from family members, it hits home. I now fully understand what I put my family through so many years ago. You see, I used to live by the philosophy that if it wasn’t tied down, locked up, or otherwise secured, it didn’t belong to you anymore.  It belonged to me.  And then… My step-dad, turned me in for theft.  And the life I was leading caught up to me. My probation officer told me I had two paths in life.  Path A was prison.  Path B was change.  I chose Path B.  At some point in the future, I will write about what exactly that meant for my life and future.     Tweet #fighting4answrs
