Health concerns – a new slant – Lupus and Fibromyalgia

So, having a child with serious mental health blessings can and does cause a lot of stress.  How does one handle the stress? Now, add to that idea, major health issues in one parent that react very negatively to stress. I have Systemic Lupus and Fibromyalgia. I have other health concerns, but those are the biggies.  As a result, I need a lot of rest. Because I have a child that has decided to force himself to vomit his meds up, I don’t get the normal 8 hours of sleep that others get. In order to combat the obvious health toll, I take frequent breaks.  It helps to have supportive family members. On Saturday, a good friend of mine died.  D.M. I will write more about him later.  We were former business consultants and colleagues at a couple of colleges in the city.  He

doctors and annoyances

So I have this issue with the left side of my face going numb.  I have been to two different doctors.  Had all of the major tests to rule out strokes and TIA’s.  The final answer? “We have no idea why your face is numb.”  I heard from my neurologist today. Lovely. “If it starts to hurt, you need to come back and see me right away.” he says. Lovely. Would be better if we can treat it before it starts to hurt doc. I replied” “Well, since we know it isn’t the Lupus, and Fibromyalgia causes pain, and we know it isn’t a problem with the brain, that leaves a nerve in your face that is having issues.  Nothing more that can be done that isn’t already being done as a treatment for your Lupus and Fibromyalgia. ” He stated. Lovely.  So in this life of abnormality, this is
