the dreams that follow

After any particularly tense day, David has bad dreams. I find that they can tell me more about just how bad his day was than any behavior that he shows us. This tells me that there is something significant going on that we haven’t began to deal with in regards to his mental health. I don’t know what it is. I do know that the things he voices in his dreams scare the hell out of me. And it isn’t so much the words that he uses, as he doesn’t use a lot of words.  But I can tell by the tone that the dreams are very severe, and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if we could see his dream, and learn that he was beating the hell out of someone or something. I have tried to talk to him about his dreams.  He claims to never remember
