Fundraising to attend At Home Dad’s Convention.

I am applying for a scholarship to the At Home Dad’s convention in Washington D.C.  However, I still need to raise money for the travel and since we live in North Dakota, airplane fare is expensive.  The convention is the first weekend in October. I am trying this with a ChipIn. Please give a couple of dollars if you can afford to.  Any excess funds will be donated to the At Home Dad’s Scholarship fund to help another father attend the conference next year. Donations to me through the ChipIn are not tax-deductible.  If you would like to donate to The National At-Home Dads Scholarship and help other dads attend the convention, you can make a donation at the website www.daddyshome.org. My apologies for any confusion.   Tweet #fighting4answrs

At Home Dads Convention

Trying to find a way to go to the National At Home Dad’s Convention.  The issue is cost.  airfare plus hotel will run almost 1000 dollars not including cabs and food. I can handle air fare, or I can handle hotel, cabs and food.  But not both. I just don’t feel right about applying for a scholarship for myself when another father might need that funding way more than I do. What do you think?  It is the first weekend in October.  Location is in Washington D.C.     As a stay at home father of three kids with some type of special need and two kids without special needs, I feel that we need more representation at a National event like this.
