Shoot, a laptop, and your teen’s attention

Now, I am sure that all of my readers have seen or heard the news report about the father, Tommy Jordan, who authored a video post on his daughter’s facebook wall titled “Facebook Parenting: For the Troubled Teen.” and then posted the video on his daughter’s facebook wall. I am not here to bemoan his actions, nor am I here to defend his daughter.  I am simply a parent with an opinion.  My opinion is this:  In the age of parent’s killing their children for the slightest disrespect and other reasons, was what Tommy Jordan did so bad?  Sure it might be considered over the top to take a .45 pistol and blow away a laptop in response to some nefarious post, but as a parent, I consider it my responsibility to monitor the activity of my juvenile children while they are online and in my house.  Let me say

Lies, Lies I tell you….

Good morning friends. I am getting sick.  Having Lupus, Fibromyalgia and Hypothyroidism, this means that I need to be proactive in fighting the infection.  Uggh… this means that I need to lengthen the amount of  rest I get as well as increase my liquid intake. >M just had a major blowout. M is very difficult to deal with him when he is like that. i had him in a basket hold and ended up laying across part of his body to keep him from hurting either me or himself. When he does this we remove him from where his siblings are, as they get very upset about David’s behavior. In the process of removing him, David latched onto a wall and ended up with pretty good scratches on one arm. Very strong when the adrenaline gets flowing. I feel for him, I got him calmed down and everything was O.K.. All because I asked him where he had hidden a pastry in the living room. I now have a bruise where the incision was from when i had stitches a couple of weeks ago. It is nothing compared to the terror he must feel when
