a very good day so far…
David has been incredible today. no issues, no tantrums. nothing. I won’t hold my breath that it will last, but it has been so nice. 🙂 Kudos David. I am proud of you. Tweet #fighting4answrs

I had someone tell me it takes a special person to parent a child like David. It takes a special person to be a parent. Period. Any man can be a father, donate DNA, that kind of thing. But to be a parent, a “dad” takes something more. To be the dad of a special needs kids isn’t something that everyone can handle. I get that. really, I do. But… and I say but… How do you know, if you don’t try. We had a special couple of parents help us with David for a while this year. I believe in my heart that they are special. I am honored that they were chosen to work with our son. I am sorry it didn’t work out for both families, and I understand why things didn’t work out. I hold no grudges. Bear no ill will. I don’t want them to
I have been advised to take our story regarding David public. To CNN and FoxNews. In regards to how No Child Left Behind and the Garrison School District have conspired against educating our son in the home district under the guise of “we are unable to provide the services that his needs require…” How is shuttling him 58 miles each way to a school in another district considered least restrictive? What say you? I am not an attention seeking man. I would rather seek the path of diplomacy. But when diplomacy fails, what path is one left with? What is the difference between facilitation and mediation? We have had a facilitated IEP, and now the school is calling for a Mediated IEP. What is the difference? Or do we skip it all and go right to Due Process. There are those who also think that we should file a law
