an update about our favorite special ed teacher

Our favorite teacher, you may remember her, I wrote about her vendetta against my wife a year ago last Spring.  She doesn’t think that David should be allowed out in public school.  And made mention of the fact that he ruined her child’s first grade education…  yeah.  Her post is here. At any rate, this teacher changed schools so she is no longer teaching in the same district as my wife.  Which means, she should no longer be making life hell for David’s mom. The new district has no idea of this teacher’s professional life.  Has no idea of the things she has done in the past.  So my objective in the next legislative session is to advocate for legislation in our state that makes the teacher’s record follow the teacher. In our state, the hiring authority can call current and previous employers.  All they can “legally say” is that

Eight tips for the new dads in our world

I admit, the idea of fatherhood scared me.  Here I was, 21, not much more than a kid myself, and finding out that parenthood was coming.  Like it or not, here I come.   When I was 18, a girlfriend had experienced a miscarriage, but I didn’t know that until my daughter was born.   I often wonder what the child would be like. So, here are some tips for new parents.  As a father of five kids, I am not an expert.  My kids have all survived, though I am not sure how. Babies sleep just fine in a clothes basket on the floor next to the bed. Formula can get expensive, whenever possible breastfeed.  My oldest daughter was on Nutramigen, which was one of the more expensive kinds on the market.  Plus breastfeeding is just better all the way around for the kid.
