Things are good today. I am exhausted for some reason probably related to my Lupus and fibro. But otherwise things are good. David is behaving himself quite nicely, and playing one of his spelling games. I challenge him to create 4 letter words instead of three letter words. So far he is exceeding my expectations. If you have a child with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis, and are in need of support, let me know. I can hook you up with an online support group. It isn’t a magical cure, but it has definitely helped me. Also, you should check out my friends Rob and Liz Gorski. Rob’s blog Lost and Tired is phenomenal. Always a good read. In a little while David and I are going on our second outing of the week. Hopefully it goes well. Tweet #fighting4answrs
Each day moves forward without prompting. We start when the rest of the kids leave the house. 8am – four kids off to school. 8:30 breakfast and clean up 9:00 play time 9:30 exercise period 10:00 study math 10:30 break 11:00 spelling lessons 11:30 – 1 lunch 1pm grammar and reading. 1:30pm. done for the day For exercise we use games on the Wii. When it gets warmer, we will go outside. We also have an exercise bike. Three times a week, we try to have an outing of some kind. Go to the store, a cafe, bank or whatever. Our day varies depending on his temperament and how he is responding. Because of the severity of the ADHD, the above schedule is very flexible. Some days we might not get started until 11am and might get done at 1. We work when he is able to focus and function.
Potato wedges are not cat toys. The cat doesn’t like it when you chase her from room to room. The cat will scratch you, it is her way of defending herself. Other than that, I think that he is going to be a lawyer. He likes to argue and/or debate everything. How much catnip is too much catnip dad? The cat loves catnip but I think that half of a 6 ounce can is too much. Tweet #fighting4answrs
