Our school is developing a bullying policy. I have been invited as have all parents in the community to participate in this process. I applaud the school for hosting these meetings, and doing so at times that are convenient to most parents. That said, it would be nice if more parents would be involved in the process. It is going to take the whole community to make this change in our student’s lives. If they don’t see their parents buying into the policy and curriculum, then they won’t buy into it either. The bullying policy needs to hold all participants accountable. Students, Faculty, Support Staff and Administration. If all participants are not held to the same standard, then we will quickly lose the buy in of the people all are here to educate. Hopefully more people from the community will take it upon themselves to get involved in this process.
Strep Throat – Image via Wikipedia A little case of strep throat is what he appears to have. Poor kid who never rests has been laying on the couch all day. “how do you know he is sick?” I am asked. “Easy, this isn’t normal behaviour for him, he is usually much more active.” is my reply. So we are medicating to try to get rid of the infection. What exactly is strep throat? Tweet #fighting4answrs
Mr. David rarely gets sick. Today he woke up crying because his throat hurt so bad. Poor guy. So rather than trekking to the city to get my driver’s license renewed, we are going to the clinic. Just hope it isn’t strep or something like that. David rarely just lays around on the couch, he is always moving. He has been up for half an hour and other than taking a shower, he is covered up with a blanket feeling miserable. Tweet #fighting4answrs
