Eavesdropping on Hope.

Posted on January 26, 2014 by David's Father

Today, while I was spending the day with my kids and their speech team, I overheard a couple of other kids talking.

They were talking about how someone made finals in their event.

It wasn’t negative.  They weren’t putting that person down, rather, they were hoping that making finals would help boost that person’s self-esteem.    When the person in question came around, and excitedly shared their news about making finals, that person was congratulated.  Praised.

The smile on that person’s face could have rivaled the sun in intensity.

Nice to see kids working to boost the self-esteem of another, rather than spending their time knocking another down.
