Well, dear readers, some of you are new to my scribe. I usually try to write something every couple of days. This week has been a rough one on this father.
First we lost one of our key support people for our family. We buried him on Thursday. While it was a huge loss to our family, as he was a very dear friend, it was a greater loss to the world and his family. He was a retired OB/GYN who helped bring countless people into the world. But he was a teacher, mentor, father, grandfather, and husband.
In between I managed to catch a cold. Now, for most people that isn’t such a big thing. However, I have systemic lupus, fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism, and serotonin syndrome. All of this means that I have a compromised immune system, so when I get sick, it kicks me pretty hard. I am finally on the mend, and today is the first time in a week that I have felt well enough to attempt a posting.
I appreciate your patience. Please don’t forget about our giveaway. We do have other sponsors coming forward in the next 24 hours to augment our giveaways.
For now, I bid adieu. Watch for further post releases to begin on Monday, June 4th, and for those of you who are new to whynotfathers.com, welcome. If you want something special written, please post a comment about it and I will see what I can do.
