Today’s victory? It may not seem like it, but I count today as successful.
Why?
A group of 10 people got together to try plan for the educational future of one child.
Was it disappointing that in the end we agreed to disagree? Yes. But today was still a success because the process of getting to the point shows that the system, flawed as it may seem to be, works. Now the next step is a Due Process hearing.
Our son, David, sat through the whole meeting with me today. 2 and a half hours. Which for him must have felt like a life time.
That is a success as well.
